The Gang is back this fall for another season of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia!  If you haven’t tuned into the sitcom, it follows the lives of five dysfunctional bar owners and is set in South Philly.  It was created by three guys from Philadelphia who also star as main characters in the show.  Dennis, Dee, Frank, Mac, and Charlie will be back to get into more ridiculous situations while incorporating controversial issues and maintaining their self-centered and unethical ways. The show just celebrated its sixth season premiere on Thursday, September 16th.

Want to experience Philadelphia as seen on the show?  Take the It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia tour created by VisitPhilly.com.  It has a list of places the Gang frequents on the show:

  • The Laff House – In season 4, Dee attempted to perform stand-up at this comedy club located on South street.  While Dee’s act didn’t go very well, the Laff House is a great place to check out local and national comedy acts.  It is a good idea to get your tickets ahead of time.

  • The Italian Market – The Gang frequents this outdoor market which is located on 9th street.  Here, you can get fresh produce, meat, and baked goods.
  • Anthony’s Italian Coffee House – This coffee house is located on South 9th street.  Here, you can grab a bite to eat or have some espresso, and sit at a table outside just like The Gang.

  • Mac’s Tavern – Owned by the actors who play Mac and Dee on the show, Mac’s Tavern is an appropriate tour stop because The Gang spends most of their time in their bar, Paddy’s Pub.  This spot can be found on Market Street in Olde City.

  • Philadelphia Java Company – While Charlie frequents this spot to admire his crush, you can grab a drink, check out work by local artists, and surf the web using the free Wi-Fi.  Philadelphia Java Company is located on 4th and South street.

  • Boathouse Row – Images of Boathouse Row are included in the opening of every episode of the show.  Take a walk and enjoy the view of this spot located along Kelly Drive.

    4. This is one of my favorite shows in the whole world! Each time I read about a certain location, I laughed because I knew exactly what episode each location was featured in. My favorite one out of all these places has to be the Laff House, when Dee and Charlie take a walk in each other's shoes. It's hilarious!
